Moved to Dreamhost

February 27, 2013 - 10:35 pm

Quickie post to test the new system and new hosting. After Deb so kindly posted links to my blog post on fleece washing my site was taken down by the relatively modest traffic sent its way. The old blog was hosted on a server David and I manage, and it was not up to the task.

I have moved to dreamhost.com. So far they don’t suck. I spent a fair amount of time investigating various hosting providers before choosing this one, and so far I’m not disappointed. It’s a bit annoying to not have root on the server where my blog is hosted, but we’re working it out. David has helped tremendously with the site migration.

If you find issues, please let me know. Tomorrow I should have time to move the entry on fleece scouring that I roughed out on Flickr over to the blog, and I have more things to share, of course. 🙂 Hopefully the work of migrating the blog is over and I can actually create content instead!
