Tie-up Test
This is our first effort at tying up the new to us Bergman 12 harness / 14 treadle loom. We tied up treadles 1 and 14 as tabby, so 1 lifts the odd numbered harnesses and drops the evens, and 14 lifts the evens and drops the odds. Mesmerizing to watch!
Lovely Bergman
New (to me- it was built in 1936 and has been, uhm, well loved) loom ! It’s a 12 shaft Bergmam. 12 shafts! Having a hard time imagining what that means. It’s half assembled and back to back with my 50 yr old Norwood 4 shaft.
