Making Cloth
Finally making cloth! There’s an error somewhere, I think in the tie up. Need to spend some time looking at it and sort it out. LOTS of learning about the loom. Lots more to go. But, cloth!!
Countermarche NOT Marching

Tie-up Test
This is our first effort at tying up the new to us Bergman 12 harness / 14 treadle loom. We tied up treadles 1 and 14 as tabby, so 1 lifts the odd numbered harnesses and drops the evens, and 14 lifts the evens and drops the odds. Mesmerizing to watch!
Lovely Bergman
New (to me- it was built in 1936 and has been, uhm, well loved) loom ! It’s a 12 shaft Bergmam. 12 shafts! Having a hard time imagining what that means. It’s half assembled and back to back with my 50 yr old Norwood 4 shaft.
